In July 2024, 23,800 bed nights were registered in Saariselkä (-8.9 %), of which 17,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,000 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 12 percent and foreign bed nights increased two percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased nine percent from last year's July.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (1,400 nights).
19,400 nights (-5.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,400 nights (-21.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and July, 93,000 registered bed nights (-2.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 127,000 (+24.5 %) for foreigners in Saariselkä, in total 220,000 (+11.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Saariselkä on average 2.1 nights (-1.2 %) and foreigners 1.1 nights (+3.3 %).
