Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 52 percent

In January 2023, 74,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Sigtuna (+51.6 %), of which 54,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 20,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 56 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 40 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 52 percent from last year's January.

20,100 rooms (+37.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 35,500 rooms (+78.1 %) by business visitors.

Market share 2.3 percent

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sigtuna out of total registered bed nights was 2.3 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.2 % and foreign bed nights 3.1 %.

57,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 65 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 72.6 percent were domestic, and 27.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sigtuna on average 1.3 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-0.24).
