Bed nights in paid accommodation

Bed nights in registered accommodation increased 12 percent

In June 2023, 31,000 bed nights were registered in Tingsryd (+11.7 %), of which 13,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 17,800 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased four percent and foreign bed nights increased 18 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation increased 12 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (11,100 nights).

1,100 rooms (-19.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (+88.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 38,400 registered bed nights (+2.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 26,900 (+21.3 %) for foreigners in Tingsryd, in total 65,300 (+9.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 6.9 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+0.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.1 million nights (-1.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.8 million nights (+7.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Tingsryd out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.0 %.

Length of stay was 2.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. In Tingsryd, length of stay in June was on average 2.6 nights (-18.4 %) and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-0.1 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tingsryd on average 2.5 nights (-31.0 %) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-7.6 %).

12,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 37 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 43.5 percent were domestic, and 56.5 percent were from foreign countries.
