Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased five percent

In January 2023, 2,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Turku Archipelago (+4.6 %), of which 2,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 114 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 34 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 80 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased five percent from last year's January.

1,900 nights (+33.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 500 nights (-42.7 %) by business visitors.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 1.5 million registered bed nights (+48.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 994,000 nights (+43.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 536,000 nights (+56.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Turku Archipelago out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 121 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.0 percent were domestic, and 4.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Turku Archipelago on average 1.9 nights (-1.3) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-20).
