Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 23 percent

In January 2023, 10,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Uddevalla (+23.3 %), of which 9,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 20 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 60 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 23 percent from last year's January.

1,300 rooms (-34.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,000 rooms (+249.0 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Uddevalla out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

4,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 152 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.1 percent were domestic, and 10.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Uddevalla on average 2.1 nights (-2.1) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-4.8).
