Pudasjärvi: Tourism in a nutshell
6,900 registered bed nights
In January 2019, 6,900 bed nights were recorded in Pudasjärvi (-25.0 %), of which 3,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,600 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 28 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 22 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 25 percent from last year's January.
6,400 nights (-26.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 470 nights (+13.3 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Total of 1.5 million bed nights (+1.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 869,000 nights (+1.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 675,000 nights (+0.6 %) by foreigners.
The market share of Pudasjärvi out of total bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.
2,200 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 63.5 percent were domestic, and 36.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pudasjärvi on average 2.3 nights (-0.53) and foreigners 4.4 nights (-0.52).
