Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 59 percent

In January 2020, 11,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Pudasjärvi (+58.8 %), of which 7,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 113 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 10 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 59 percent from last year's January.

9,900 nights (+54.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,100 nights (+124.2 %) by business visitors.

Total of 1.7 million registered bed nights (+8.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 957,000 nights (+10.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 714,000 nights (+5.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Pudasjärvi out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Pudasjärvi, length of stay in January was on average 3.1 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-1.9 %).

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pudasjärvi on average 2.6 nights and foreigners 5.1 nights .

3,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 55 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 77.5 percent were domestic, and 22.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pudasjärvi on average 2.6 nights (+0.28) and foreigners 5.1 nights (+0.69).
