Registered bed nights increased 14 percent
In August 2019, 12,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Pyhä-Luosto (+13.9 %), of which 9,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 32 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's August.
10,800 nights (+8.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,200 nights (+117.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 73,400 registered bed nights (-6.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 48,600 (+16.6 %) for foreigners in Pyhä-Luosto, in total 122,000 (+5.7 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 61.7 percent were domestic, and 38.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Pyhä-Luosto on average 2.9 nights (+0.11) and foreigners 1.4 nights (+0.21).
