Paid bed nights
Registered bed nights increased 24 percent (December 2022)
In December 2022, 2,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Raahe Region (+23.7 %), of which 1,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 450 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 31 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased four percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 24 percent from last year's December.
280 nights (+64.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,800 nights (+19.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 23,600 registered bed nights (-2.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,900 (+123.9 %) for foreigners in Raahe Region, in total 35,500 (+20.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation (December 2022)
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Raahe Region, length of stay in December was on average 3.3 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-7.8 %).
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Raahe Region on average 2.9 nights (+5.7 %) and foreigners 7.0 nights (+10.3 %).
610 tourists arrived to registered accommodation (December 2022)
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 22 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.4 percent were domestic, and 10.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Raahe Region on average 2.9 nights (+0.19) and foreigners 7.0 nights (-0.96).

Registered January-December sales were 2.3 million euro and they increased 440,000 euro from the previous year.
