Paid bed nights
Registered bed nights increased 14 percent
In June 2019, 2,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Raahe Region (+14.4 %), of which 2,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 420 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 13 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's June.
880 nights (+53.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,700 nights (+1.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and June, 8,400 registered bed nights (-0.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,700 (+35.6 %) for foreigners in Raahe Region, in total 10,900 (+4.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Raahe Region, length of stay in June was on average 1.6 nights and in Finland 1.8 nights (+0.4 %).
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Raahe Region on average 1.5 nights (-5.7 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.7 %).
1,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 26 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.2 percent were domestic, and 11.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Raahe Region on average 1.5 nights (-0.13) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.22).
