Registered bed nights increased 46 percent
In January 2022, 1,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Raahe Region (+45.9 %), of which 1,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 280 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 76 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 18 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 46 percent from last year's January.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (131 nights).
152 nights (+23.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,400 nights (+48.9 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 39 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 39 percent compared to earlier year. In Raahe Region, length of stay in January was on average 3.2 nights and in Finland 2.4 nights (+10.2 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Raahe Region on average 2.9 nights and foreigners 6.0 nights .
480 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.5 percent were domestic, and 9.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Raahe Region on average 2.9 nights (+1.2) and foreigners 6.0 nights (-3.1).
