Registered bed nights increased 53 percent

In May 2022, 19,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Rättvik (+52.5 %), of which 18,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 880 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 49 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 188 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 53 percent from last year's May.

3,500 rooms (+70.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 400 rooms (+24.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 52,000 registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,300 (+270.8 %) for foreigners in Rättvik, in total 56,300 (+43.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Rättvik out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

7,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 69 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.0 percent were domestic, and 6.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rättvik on average 2.5 nights (-0.2) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-3.2).
