11,600 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 11,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Rättvik (-1.4 %), of which 11,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 410 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 47 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased one percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (70 nights).

2,800 rooms (-19.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 720 rooms (-1.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 169,000 registered bed nights (-24.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,400 (-71.7 %) for foreigners in Rättvik, in total 176,000 (-29.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-20.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 436,000 nights (-62.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Rättvik out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 16 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 16 percent compared to earlier year. In Rättvik, length of stay in September was on average 4.5 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (+4.9 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rättvik on average 4.6 nights (-10.9 %) and foreigners 3.1 nights (+43.6 %).

2,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.9 percent were domestic, and 5.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rättvik on average 4.6 nights (+0.69) and foreigners 3.1 nights (-0.84).
