Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 24 percent

In May 2021, 12,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Rättvik (+23.9 %), of which 12,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 124 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 24 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Spain (67 nights).

1,100 rooms (+72.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 151 rooms (-61.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 38,200 registered bed nights (-6.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,200 (-75.8 %) for foreigners in Rättvik, in total 39,400 (-13.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.3 million registered bed nights (+46.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+45.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 291,000 nights (+65.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Rättvik out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 250 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 250 percent compared to earlier year. In Rättvik, length of stay in May was on average 12 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-5.3 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rättvik on average 12 nights (+72.6 %) and foreigners 14 nights (-24.8 %).

1,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 65 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.9 percent were domestic, and 2.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rättvik on average 12 nights (+8.8) and foreigners 14 nights (+9.4).
