In December 2018, 3,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Rauma Region (-2.2 %), of which 2,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 13 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 29 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased two percent from last year's December.
800 nights (+39.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,000 nights (-9.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 76,200 registered bed nights (-8.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 25,200 (-19.5 %) for foreigners in Rauma Region, in total 101,000 (-11.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Rauma Region, length of stay in December was on average 1.6 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (+1.4 %).
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rauma Region on average 1.4 nights (-21.1 %) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-28.2 %).
2,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.4 percent were domestic, and 15.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rauma Region on average 1.4 nights (-0.02) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-0.69).
