In March 2019, 5,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Rauma Region (-8.5 %), of which 4,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased seven percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's March.
1,200 nights (-29.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,600 nights (-0.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 11,300 registered bed nights (+3.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,100 (-13.6 %) for foreigners in Rauma Region, in total 15,400 (-1.7 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Rauma Region, length of stay in March was on average 1.7 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-2.4 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rauma Region on average 1.4 nights (+1.4 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+6.4 %).
3,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.5 percent were domestic, and 18.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rauma Region on average 1.4 nights (-0.08) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-0.45).
