Registered bed nights increased six percent

In January 2020, 5,100 bed nights were recorded in Rauma Region (+5.6 %), of which 3,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 10 percent. In total, bed nights increased six percent from last year's January.

1,100 nights (+22.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,000 nights (+1.6 %) by business visitors.

Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Total of 1.7 million bed nights (+8.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 957,000 nights (+10.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 714,000 nights (+5.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Rauma Region out of total bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.
