Registered bed nights increased six percent
In January 2020, 5,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Rauma Region (+5.6 %), of which 3,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 10 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased six percent from last year's January.
1,100 nights (+22.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,000 nights (+1.6 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Rauma Region, length of stay in January was on average 1.6 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-1.9 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rauma Region on average 1.5 nights and foreigners 2.3 nights .
3,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 14 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.6 percent were domestic, and 16.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rauma Region on average 1.5 nights (-0.08) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.21).
