In March 2020, 2,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Rauma Region (-49.5 %), of which 2,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 830 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 49 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 52 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 49 percent from last year's March.
430 nights (-63.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,500 nights (-46.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 9,500 registered bed nights (-16.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,200 (-22.1 %) for foreigners in Rauma Region, in total 12,700 (-17.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 22 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 22 percent compared to earlier year. In Rauma Region, length of stay in March was on average 2.0 nights and in Finland 2.3 nights (+14.6 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rauma Region on average 1.7 nights (+2.8 %) and foreigners 3.9 nights (+7.2 %).
1,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 59 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.2 percent were domestic, and 14.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rauma Region on average 1.7 nights (+0.26) and foreigners 3.9 nights (+1.2).
