Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 35 percent

In April 2022, 5,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Rauma Region (+35.1 %), of which 4,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 53 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased two percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 35 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (400 nights).

1,500 nights (+82.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,300 nights (+23.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 14,300 registered bed nights (+52.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,500 (+14.2 %) for foreigners in Rauma Region, in total 17,700 (+43.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 1.6 million registered bed nights (+104.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.4 million nights (+89.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+310.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Rauma Region out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Rauma Region, length of stay in April was on average 1.8 nights and in Finland 1.9 nights (-22.7 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rauma Region on average 1.6 nights (-8.6 %) and foreigners 3.1 nights (-36.4 %).

3,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 58 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.5 percent were domestic, and 13.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rauma Region on average 1.6 nights (-0.26) and foreigners 3.1 nights (+0.14).
