Rauma: Tourism in a nutshell
5,500 registered bed nights
In March 2019, 5,500 bed nights were recorded in Rauma (-8.5 %), of which 3,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 10 percent and foreign bed nights decreased six percent. In total, bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's March.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (480 nights).
1,100 nights (-29.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,400 nights (-1.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 10,700 bed nights (+6.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,000 (-13.1 %) for foreigners in Rauma, in total 14,800 (+0.2 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

3,300 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 81.0 percent were domestic, and 19.0 percent were from foreign countries.

Total accommodation sales in March were 425,000 euro (-35,400). The share of Airbnb and HomeAway was 4.1 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 408,000 euro (+7,000) and Airbnb and HomeAway sales 16,600 euro (-42,400).
Total January-March sales were 1.2 million euro and they decreased 75,000 euro from the previous year.
