Registered bed nights increased 230 percent

In April 2021, 4,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Rauma (+231.0 %), of which 2,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 210 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 290 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 230 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (720 nights).

730 nights (+1,456.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,500 nights (+183.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 8,900 registered bed nights (-10.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,000 (-12.9 %) for foreigners in Rauma, in total 11,900 (-11.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 780,000 registered bed nights (+310.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 727,000 nights (+319.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 53,100 nights (+216.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Rauma out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 2.6 %.

2,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 290 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 75.8 percent were domestic, and 24.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rauma on average 1.9 nights (-0.19) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-3.0).
