4,700 registered bed nights (April)

In April 2023, 4,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Rauma (-17.7 %), of which 3,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 29 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 18 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 18 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (550 nights).

1,000 nights (-28.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,600 nights (-13.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 14,400 registered bed nights (+5.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,400 (+56.5 %) for foreigners in Rauma, in total 19,800 (+15.9 %) registered nights.

In June 2023, the number of bed nights in paid accommodation is expected to decrease by 17.1 % compared to the previous year.

Total of 1.5 million registered bed nights (-3.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (-7.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 261,000 nights (+20.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Rauma out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

2,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation (April)

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 23 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.5 percent were domestic, and 17.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rauma on average 1.5 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 3.8 nights (+0.71).

Accommodation sales 554,000 euro (April)

Total accommodation sales in April were 554,000 euro (+73,100). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 7.8 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 511,000 euro (+55,700) and non-registered sales 43,500 euro (+17,300).

Total January-April sales were 2.0 million euro and they increased 505,000 euro from the previous year.
