Rogaland: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 57 percent
In May 2021, 126,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Rogaland (+56.5 %), of which 110,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 15,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 58 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 45 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 57 percent from last year's May.
33,900 nights (+77.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 51,800 nights (+59.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 382,000 registered bed nights (+3.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 80,800 (+9.1 %) for foreigners in Rogaland, in total 462,000 (+4.4 %) registered nights.

53,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 66 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.7 percent were domestic, and 7.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rogaland on average 2.2 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 4.0 nights (+0.14).

Accommodation sales 65.8 million crowns
Registered accommodation sales in May were 65.8 million crowns (+28.1 million).
Registered January-May sales were 267.7 million crowns and they decreased 19.2 million euro from the previous year.
