Registered bed nights increased 22 percent

In February 2022, 104,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Rogaland (+21.6 %), of which 86,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 17,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 19 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 22 percent from last year's February.

28,800 nights (+67.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 55,700 nights (+8.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 154,000 registered bed nights (+14.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 34,600 (-11.0 %) for foreigners in Rogaland, in total 188,000 (+8.8 %) registered nights.

Market share 5.9 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Rogaland out of total registered bed nights was 5.9 % (-3.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 6.6 % and foreign bed nights 3.7 %.

49,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 37 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.8 percent were domestic, and 11.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rogaland on average 2.0 nights (-0.32) and foreigners 3.2 nights (+0.23).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 73.5 million crowns (+22.8 million).

Registered January-February sales were 136.6 million crowns and they increased 29.1 million euro from the previous year.
