Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 98 percent

In April 2021, 81,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Rogaland (+98.3 %), of which 67,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 14,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 103 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 77 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 98 percent from last year's April.

17,400 nights (+51.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 38,700 nights (+90.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 272,000 registered bed nights (-9.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 65,000 (+2.9 %) for foreigners in Rogaland, in total 337,000 (-7.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 9.2 percent

Total of 883,000 registered bed nights (+166.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 788,000 nights (+184.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 94,300 nights (+75.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Rogaland out of total registered bed nights was 9.2 % (-3.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 8.6 % and foreign bed nights 14.9 %.

Length of stay was 2.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 22 percent compared to earlier year. In Rogaland, length of stay in April was on average 2.6 nights and in Norway 2.8 nights (-3.0 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rogaland on average 2.4 nights (+32.0 %) and foreigners 4.1 nights (+57.3 %).

31,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 153 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.3 percent were domestic, and 10.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rogaland on average 2.4 nights (-0.64) and foreigners 4.1 nights (-1.1).
