84,400 registered bed nights

In January 2022, 84,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Rogaland (-3.8 %), of which 67,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 17,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased six percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 29 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased four percent from last year's January.

18,300 nights (+14.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 55,200 nights (-2.7 %) by business visitors.

Total of 1.2 million registered bed nights (+51.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 888,000 nights (+35.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 292,000 nights (+132.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Rogaland out of total registered bed nights was 7.2 % (-4.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 7.6 % and foreign bed nights 5.9 %.

Length of stay was 2.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 31 percent compared to earlier year. In Rogaland, length of stay in January was on average 2.2 nights and in Norway 2.3 nights (-17.7 %).

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rogaland on average 2.1 nights and foreigners 3.3 nights .

37,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 40 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.2 percent were domestic, and 13.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rogaland on average 2.1 nights (-0.81) and foreigners 3.3 nights (-1.7).
