Registered bed nights increased 131 percent

In February 2022, 67,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Romerike (+131.0 %), of which 53,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 13,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 137 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 108 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 131 percent from last year's February.

18,300 nights (+176.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 40,300 nights (+192.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 99,800 registered bed nights (+61.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 21,100 (+63.3 %) for foreigners in Romerike, in total 121,000 (+61.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 3.8 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Romerike out of total registered bed nights was 3.8 % (+0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 4.1 % and foreign bed nights 2.8 %.

46,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 280 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.1 percent were domestic, and 18.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Romerike on average 1.4 nights (-0.79) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-1.8).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 49.5 million crowns (+30.9 million).

Registered January-February sales were 88.7 million crowns and they increased 38.5 million euro from the previous year.
