Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 138 percent

In March 2022, 105,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Romerike (+137.9 %), of which 90,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 14,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 173 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 33 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 138 percent from last year's March.

33,700 nights (+338.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 43,200 nights (+106.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 190,000 registered bed nights (+100.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 35,900 (+49.2 %) for foreigners in Romerike, in total 226,000 (+90.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 4.5 percent

Total of 2.3 million registered bed nights (+142.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.8 million nights (+110.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 507,000 nights (+443.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Romerike out of total registered bed nights was 4.5 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 5.0 % and foreign bed nights 2.9 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 46 percent compared to earlier year. In Romerike, length of stay in March was on average 1.6 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (-23.5 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Romerike on average 1.6 nights (-44.1 %) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-56.7 %).

67,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 340 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.3 percent were domestic, and 14.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Romerike on average 1.6 nights (-1.1) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-2.4).
