Registered bed nights increased 33 percent

In September 2021, 9,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Ronneby (+32.8 %), of which 6,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 300 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 33 percent from last year's September.

2,000 rooms (+8.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,600 rooms (+33.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 105,000 registered bed nights (-6.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 19,900 (+109.8 %) for foreigners in Ronneby, in total 125,000 (+2.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ronneby out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

4,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.7 percent were domestic, and 20.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ronneby on average 1.9 nights (+0.44) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+0.58).

The airport received a total of 6,100 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals increased 66 percent.

Of local passengers, 1.6 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 98.4 %.
