Registered bed nights increased 103 percent

In December 2021, 5,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Ronneby (+103.5 %), of which 4,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 740 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 91 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 250 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 103 percent from last year's December.

1,700 rooms (+125.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (+143.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 124,000 registered bed nights (-1.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 23,400 (+101.2 %) for foreigners in Ronneby, in total 147,000 (+6.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ronneby out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

3,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 110 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.7 percent were domestic, and 10.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ronneby on average 1.6 nights (-0.09) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.2).

3,600 air travelers

The airport received a total of 3,600 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals increased 450 percent.

Of local passengers, 2.5 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 97.5 %.

In addition, there were 3,500 passengers departing the airport (+412.6 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 7,000 (+431.5 %).
