28,400 registered bed nights
In September 2020, 28,400 bed nights were recorded in Saariselkä (-3.1 %), of which 27,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 660 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 84 percent. In total, bed nights decreased three percent from last year's September.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (58 nights).
24,600 nights (-5.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,800 nights (+19.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 113,000 bed nights (-18.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 88,700 (-35.0 %) for foreigners in Saariselkä, in total 202,000 (-26.7 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.
