Registered bed nights increased 26 percent

In September 2021, 2,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Säffle (+26.3 %), of which 2,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 460 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 59 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 26 percent from last year's September.

460 rooms (-7.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 860 rooms (+77.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 32,200 registered bed nights (+10.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,300 (+106.4 %) for foreigners in Säffle, in total 39,500 (+20.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Säffle out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 32 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.4 percent were domestic, and 14.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Säffle on average 1.9 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.24).
