Registered bed nights increased 83 percent

In May 2022, 5,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Säffle (+82.6 %), of which 3,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 26 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 840 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 83 percent from last year's May.

620 rooms (+404.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,600 rooms (+130.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 12,600 registered bed nights (+55.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,000 (+887.9 %) for foreigners in Säffle, in total 17,700 (+104.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Säffle out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

2,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 77 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 69.9 percent were domestic, and 30.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Säffle on average 2.2 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-0.74).
