Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 20 percent

In February 2023, 3,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Säffle (+19.8 %), of which 2,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 560 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased eight percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 20 percent from last year's February.

730 rooms (+43.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 920 rooms (+41.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 4,400 registered bed nights (+11.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,200 (+25.4 %) for foreigners in Säffle, in total 5,600 (+14.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Säffle out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Säffle, length of stay in February was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Säffle on average 2.1 nights (-8.6 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-8.7 %).

1,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 28 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.8 percent were domestic, and 18.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Säffle on average 2.1 nights (-0.19) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.04).
