Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased seven percent

In March 2023, 1,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Sala (+7.1 %), of which 1,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 290 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 12 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's March.

680 rooms (+15.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 430 rooms (-18.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 3,500 registered bed nights (+2.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 740 (+18.4 %) for foreigners in Sala, in total 4,200 (+4.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sala out of total registered bed nights was 0.0 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. In Sala, length of stay in March was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sala on average 1.8 nights (-22.2 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+2.2 %).
