Registered bed nights increased 34 percent
In January 2022, 1,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Sala (+33.9 %), of which 900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 115 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 27 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 121 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 34 percent from last year's January.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (11 nights).
410 rooms (+22.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 280 rooms (+47.9 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.9 percent were domestic, and 8.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sala on average 2.3 nights (+0.82) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+0.55).
