Paid bed nights

2,100 registered bed nights

In December 2017, 2,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Sala (-16.4 %), of which 2,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 77 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 15 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 36 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 16 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Spain (10 nights).

460 rooms (-7.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 420 rooms (-22.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 44,000 registered bed nights (-6.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,200 (+19.4 %) for foreigners in Sala, in total 47,200 (-4.9 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Sala, length of stay in December was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+1.0 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sala on average 1.6 nights (-32.2 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-58.5 %).
