6,500 registered bed nights

In August 2020, 6,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Sala (-6.1 %), of which 6,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 280 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 64 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (28 nights).

450 rooms (-59.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 720 rooms (-27.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 28,200 registered bed nights (-12.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,400 (-32.1 %) for foreigners in Sala, in total 30,600 (-14.8 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased 37 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 37 percent compared to earlier year. In Sala, length of stay in August was on average 2.6 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (+6.0 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sala on average 2.7 nights (+37.7 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+22.1 %).
