Registered bed nights increased 29 percent (September)
In September 2020, 15,400 bed nights were recorded in Salla (+28.9 %), of which 15,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 106 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 36 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 85 percent. In total, bed nights increased 29 percent from last year's September.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (14 nights).
15,200 nights (+29.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 280 nights (+22.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 79,400 bed nights (+1.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 20,900 (-30.7 %) for foreigners in Salla, in total 100,000 (-7.3 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 34 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 99.6 percent were domestic, and 0.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Salla on average 3.9 nights (-0.35) and foreigners 7.6 nights (+5.2).
