8,200 bed nights in paid accommodation (April)
Total of 8,200 bed nights (+4.0 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Salo in April 2023. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 55 % and non-registered 45 %.
Between January and April, the number of paid bed nights was 24,000 (+3.2 %). Share of registered was 59 % and non-registered 41 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
4,500 registered bed nights (April)
In April 2023, 4,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Salo (-12.4 %), of which 4,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 320 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 14 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 23 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 12 percent from last year's April.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (73 nights).
3,400 nights (-9.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,200 nights (-19.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 12,900 registered bed nights (-0.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,100 (+17.7 %) for foreigners in Salo, in total 14,100 (+0.6 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.1 percent were domestic, and 7.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Salo on average 2.3 nights (-0.24) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.63).

Accommodation sales 503,000 euro (April)
Total accommodation sales in April were 503,000 euro (+53,400). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 47.9 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 262,000 euro (-25,100) and non-registered sales 241,000 euro (+78,500).
Total January-April sales were 1.5 million euro and they increased 228,000 euro from the previous year.
