Registered bed nights increased 98 percent
In March 2022, 12,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Salten Region (+98.2 %), of which 10,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 77 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 550 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 98 percent from last year's March.
1,700 nights (+182.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,400 nights (+85.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 23,600 registered bed nights (+36.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,900 (+352.5 %) for foreigners in Salten Region, in total 27,500 (+51.3 %) registered nights.

Length of stay was 2.5 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 19 percent compared to earlier year. In Salten Region, length of stay in March was on average 2.5 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (-23.5 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Salten Region on average 2.5 nights (-21.7 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-45.5 %).
5,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 145 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.1 percent were domestic, and 13.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Salten Region on average 2.5 nights (-0.57) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-2.1).
