Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 26 percent

In March 2023, 36,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Sandefjord And Larvik (+26.1 %), of which 30,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 50 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 26 percent from last year's March.

17,400 nights (+167.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 6,400 nights (-7.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 64,700 registered bed nights (+24.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,600 (+33.6 %) for foreigners in Sandefjord And Larvik, in total 78,300 (+26.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.4 million registered bed nights (+2.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.8 million nights (+0.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 554,000 nights (+9.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sandefjord And Larvik out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.6 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.4 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 25 percent compared to earlier year. In Sandefjord And Larvik, length of stay in March was on average 1.4 nights and in Norway 2.0 nights (-6.1 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sandefjord And Larvik on average 1.4 nights (-20.1 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-13.8 %).

25,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 67 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.0 percent were domestic, and 15.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sandefjord And Larvik on average 1.4 nights (-0.47) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.44).
