Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 55 percent

In May 2021, 88,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Sandefjord And Larvik (+54.9 %), of which 86,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 56 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 29 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 55 percent from last year's May.

7,300 nights (+134.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,800 nights (+31.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 130,000 registered bed nights (+20.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,400 (-24.2 %) for foreigners in Sandefjord And Larvik, in total 142,000 (+14.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.6 million registered bed nights (+51.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.5 million nights (+52.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 103,000 nights (+45.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sandefjord And Larvik out of total registered bed nights was 5.7 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 5.9 % and foreign bed nights 2.3 %.

Length of stay increased 14 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 14 percent compared to earlier year. In Sandefjord And Larvik, length of stay in May was on average 7.3 nights and in Norway 2.5 nights (-8.0 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sandefjord And Larvik on average 7.4 nights (+60.2 %) and foreigners 4.9 nights (+196.4 %).

12,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 36 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.0 percent were domestic, and 4.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sandefjord And Larvik on average 7.4 nights (+0.68) and foreigners 4.9 nights (+2.1).
