Sandviken: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 41 percent
In May 2022, 11,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Sandviken (+41.5 %), of which 10,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 30 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 410 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 41 percent from last year's May.
2,200 rooms (+6.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,900 rooms (+135.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 40,100 registered bed nights (+2.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,400 (+215.2 %) for foreigners in Sandviken, in total 43,500 (+8.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 77 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.6 percent were domestic, and 8.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sandviken on average 2.0 nights (-0.54) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-0.94).
