9,600 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 9,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Sandviken (-14.2 %), of which 9,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 380 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 65 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 14 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (146 nights).

3,200 rooms (-10.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,000 rooms (-34.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 89,500 registered bed nights (-13.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,300 (-70.6 %) for foreigners in Sandviken, in total 92,900 (-18.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sandviken out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

5,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.5 percent were domestic, and 1.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sandviken on average 1.8 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 5.1 nights (+1.7).
