10,300 registered bed nights

In February 2020, 10,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Sandviken (-3.0 %), of which 9,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 720 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased four percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased three percent from last year's February.

3,200 rooms (-5.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (-6.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 19,200 registered bed nights (+4.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,200 (-18.6 %) for foreigners in Sandviken, in total 20,500 (+2.4 %) registered nights.

The market share of Sandviken out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 12 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Sandviken, length of stay in February was on average 2.7 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sandviken on average 2.6 nights (+0.8 %) and foreigners 3.7 nights (+3.8 %).

3,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 13 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.0 percent were domestic, and 5.0 percent were from foreign countries.
