Registered bed nights increased 23 percent
In May 2021, 8,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Sandviken (+23.4 %), of which 8,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 250 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 24 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased one percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 23 percent from last year's May.
2,000 rooms (+94.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (+110.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 39,000 registered bed nights (+10.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,100 (-49.3 %) for foreigners in Sandviken, in total 40,100 (+7.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
