Registered bed nights increased 240 percent

In February 2022, 8,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Sarpsborg (+240.2 %), of which 6,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 270 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 173 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 240 percent from last year's February.

3,900 nights (+337.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,300 nights (+159.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 9,700 registered bed nights (+140.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,800 (-7.8 %) for foreigners in Sarpsborg, in total 12,500 (+76.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sarpsborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.
