Registered bed nights increased 29 percent

In June 2021, 52,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Satakunta (+28.6 %), of which 50,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 30 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased less than one percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 29 percent from last year's June.

41,800 nights (+29.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 10,500 nights (+24.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 111,000 registered bed nights (+24.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,100 (-11.7 %) for foreigners in Satakunta, in total 123,000 (+19.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 3.0 percent

Total of 1.7 million registered bed nights (+53.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.6 million nights (+53.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 80,200 nights (+57.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Satakunta out of total registered bed nights was 3.0 % (-0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 3.1 % and foreign bed nights 2.0 %.

33,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 39 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.6 percent were domestic, and 1.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Satakunta on average 1.5 nights (-0.13) and foreigners 3.4 nights (+0.36).
