12,200 registered bed nights

In February 2021, 12,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Satakunta (-35.4 %), of which 11,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 28 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 66 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 35 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (400 nights).

5,500 nights (-28.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 6,600 nights (-39.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 19,900 registered bed nights (-32.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,100 (-66.9 %) for foreigners in Satakunta, in total 22,000 (-38.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 903,000 registered bed nights (-51.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 845,000 nights (-31.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 58,700 nights (-90.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Satakunta out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 2.0 %.

Length of stay increased 17 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 17 percent compared to earlier year. In Satakunta, length of stay in February was on average 1.9 nights and in Finland 2.2 nights (+10.9 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Satakunta on average 1.8 nights (+19.9 %) and foreigners 5.7 nights (+58.1 %).

6,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 45 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.7 percent were domestic, and 3.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Satakunta on average 1.8 nights (+0.32) and foreigners 5.7 nights (+2.4).
