Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 84 percent

In February 2023, 1,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Säter (+84.2 %), of which 1,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 420 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 69 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 169 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 84 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (350 nights).

560 rooms (+13.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 80 rooms (+0.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 2,700 registered bed nights (+67.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 560 (+113.3 %) for foreigners in Säter, in total 3,300 (+73.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Säter out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased six percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. In Säter, length of stay in February was on average 2.6 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Säter on average 2.2 nights (-5.2 %) and foreigners 6.0 nights (+203.4 %).

750 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 74 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.7 percent were domestic, and 9.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Säter on average 2.2 nights (-0.45) and foreigners 6.0 nights (+4.4).
