14,400 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 14,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Savonlinna (-30.5 %), of which 13,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 490 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased five percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 92 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 30 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (260 nights).

10,300 nights (-38.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,200 nights (+1.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 166,000 registered bed nights (-8.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15,300 (-78.4 %) for foreigners in Savonlinna, in total 182,000 (-28.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.2 million registered bed nights (-32.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-12.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 92,200 nights (-82.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Savonlinna out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 24 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.8 percent were domestic, and 1.2 percent were from foreign countries.

Total January-September sales were 11.2 million euro and they decreased 4.5 million euro from the previous year.
