Total of 10,500 bed nights (+4.1 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Savonlinna in January 2022. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 68 % and non-registered 32 %.

In January 2022, 7,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Savonlinna (+11.6 %), of which 6,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 640 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 630 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's January.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (480 nights).
5,500 nights (+13.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,700 nights (+5.3 %) by business visitors.

Length of stay increased seven percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Savonlinna, length of stay in January was on average 1.9 nights and in Finland 2.4 nights (+10.2 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Savonlinna on average 1.8 nights and foreigners 6.3 nights .

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.3 percent were domestic, and 2.7 percent were from foreign countries.
