Registered bed nights increased 250 percent

In April 2021, 7,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Seinäjoki (+247.0 %), of which 7,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 280 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 250 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 220 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 250 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (117 nights).

3,800 nights (+409.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,900 nights (+164.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 23,900 registered bed nights (-28.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,500 (-34.4 %) for foreigners in Seinäjoki, in total 25,400 (-29.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.0 percent

Total of 780,000 registered bed nights (+310.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 727,000 nights (+319.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 53,100 nights (+216.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Seinäjoki out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

4,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 300 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.1 percent were domestic, and 0.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Seinäjoki on average 1.5 nights (-0.25) and foreigners 6.5 nights (-0.7).
