14,500 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 14,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Seinäjoki (-54.5 %), of which 14,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 174 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 52 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 91 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 54 percent from last year's June.

11,100 nights (-49.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,500 nights (-64.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 52,900 registered bed nights (-42.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (-62.2 %) for foreigners in Seinäjoki, in total 55,500 (-43.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.3 percent

Total of 1.1 million registered bed nights (-50.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-36.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 50,900 nights (-91.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Seinäjoki out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

8,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 55 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.3 percent were domestic, and 0.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Seinäjoki on average 1.8 nights (+0.04) and foreigners 3.1 nights (-0.04).

240 international congress guests in 2019

The number of international congress quests increased 64 percent from the previous year.

There was a total of 5.0 congresses organized (+3.0) in 2019.

Registered accommodation sales in June were 859,000 euro (-1.2 million).
