Registered bed nights increased 12 percent
In February 2020, 13,400 bed nights were recorded in Seinäjoki (+12.2 %), of which 12,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 820 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 14 percent and foreign bed nights decreased five percent. In total, bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's February.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (189 nights).
6,000 nights (+20.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 7,500 nights (+6.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 24,300 bed nights (+11.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,700 (-9.5 %) for foreigners in Seinäjoki, in total 25,900 (+9.7 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

9,400 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 96.3 percent were domestic, and 3.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Seinäjoki on average 1.4 nights (0.0) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.24).
240 international congress guests in 2019
The number of international congress quests increased 64 percent from the previous year.
There was a total of 5.0 congresses organized (+3.0) in 2019.
