6,000 registered bed nights

In March 2021, 6,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Seinäjoki (-21.7 %), of which 5,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 360 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 21 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 25 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 22 percent from last year's March.

2,500 nights (-10.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,500 nights (-28.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 16,500 registered bed nights (-47.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,200 (-44.5 %) for foreigners in Seinäjoki, in total 17,700 (-47.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 863,000 registered bed nights (-13.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 816,000 nights (+11.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 47,100 nights (-82.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Seinäjoki out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.8 %.

3,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 31 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.3 percent were domestic, and 1.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Seinäjoki on average 1.6 nights (+0.17) and foreigners 5.8 nights (+2.6).
