Setesdal: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 11 percent
In August 2022, 42,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Setesdal (+10.8 %), of which 22,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 20,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 26 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 162 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 11 percent from last year's August.
4,300 nights (-0.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,100 nights (-26.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 151,000 registered bed nights (-18.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 69,800 (+406.1 %) for foreigners in Setesdal, in total 221,000 (+11.2 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 54.4 percent were domestic, and 45.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Setesdal on average 2.6 nights (+0.06) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-0.4).
