Sigtuna: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 300 percent
In May 2022, 102,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Sigtuna (+300.0 %), of which 77,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 24,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 310 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 280 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 300 percent from last year's May.
32,900 rooms (+206.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 43,300 rooms (+385.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 264,000 registered bed nights (+204.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 94,100 (+149.9 %) for foreigners in Sigtuna, in total 358,000 (+188.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 340 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 76.0 percent were domestic, and 24.0 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sigtuna on average 1.4 nights (-0.13) and foreigners 1.4 nights (-0.14).
