Registered bed nights increased 102 percent

In April 2021, 22,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Sigtuna (+101.8 %), of which 16,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 95 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 124 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 102 percent from last year's April.

8,600 rooms (+126.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,900 rooms (+79.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 67,700 registered bed nights (-59.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 31,200 (-16.2 %) for foreigners in Sigtuna, in total 98,800 (-51.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.9 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sigtuna out of total registered bed nights was 0.9 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 2.7 %.

13,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 95 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 74.1 percent were domestic, and 25.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sigtuna on average 1.6 nights (+0.02) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+0.16).
