32,900 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 32,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Sigtuna (-62.8 %), of which 27,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 64 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 52 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 63 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (1,400 nights).

10,700 rooms (-66.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 15,600 rooms (-54.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 264,000 registered bed nights (-55.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 62,600 (-46.6 %) for foreigners in Sigtuna, in total 327,000 (-54.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sigtuna out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (-0.9 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.0 % and foreign bed nights 1.3 %.

22,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 67 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.4 percent were domestic, and 17.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sigtuna on average 1.4 nights (+0.18) and foreigners 1.5 nights (+0.2).
