Registered bed nights increased 94 percent
In September 2021, 63,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Sigtuna (+94.2 %), of which 49,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 14,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 82 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 153 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 94 percent from last year's September.
20,500 rooms (+91.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 27,900 rooms (+79.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 244,000 registered bed nights (-7.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 92,400 (+47.7 %) for foreigners in Sigtuna, in total 336,000 (+2.9 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 109 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 76.5 percent were domestic, and 23.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sigtuna on average 1.4 nights (-0.09) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-0.14).
