82,200 registered bed nights

In September 2018, 82,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Sigtuna (-8.3 %), of which 67,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 14,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased five percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 20 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's September.

34,500 rooms (+27.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 25,900 rooms (-25.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 587,000 registered bed nights (+4.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 132,000 (-19.8 %) for foreigners in Sigtuna, in total 719,000 (-0.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (-0.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.3 million nights (-1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (+2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sigtuna out of total registered bed nights was 1.9 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.1 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

Length of stay was 1.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Sigtuna, length of stay in September was on average 1.2 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (+0.8 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sigtuna on average 1.2 nights (-10.6 %) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-19.0 %).

69,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.3 percent were domestic, and 16.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sigtuna on average 1.2 nights (-0.18) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-0.39).
